Impotence or Erectile Dysfunction is a consistent inability to sustain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. It can be a total inability to achieve an erection, an inconsistent ability to do so or a tendency to sustain only brief erection.
Impotence usually has a physical cause, such as disease, injury, or drug side-effects. Any disorder that impairs blood flow in the penis has the potential to cause impotence. It rises with age. About 5 percent of men at the age of 40 and between 15 and 25 percent of men at the age of 65 experience impotence.
Types of impotence
There are various types of impotence, such as Arteriogenic impotence, Venogenic impotence, Neurogenic impotence, Endocrinologic impotence, Psychogenic impotence, etc.
Arteriogenic Impotence: The arteries supplying blood to the penis change to bring in sufficient blood to the penis when they narrow resulting in erectile dysfunction. Diabetic and high blood pressure patients are prone to it. It mostly occurs in elderly men. It is caused due to common injuries that go unnoticed due to ignorance. This is most commonly seen in men who ride bicycles for extended period of time.
Venogenic Impotence: The veins of the penis close down in a normal individual during erection. This hardens the penis assisting a complete erection. Neurogenic Impotence: An injury to the back or other nerves related to the penis can cause Neurogenic impotence. Many operations on the rectum, prostrate, urethra, spine and urinary bladder are performed for improving the performance.
Endocrinologic Impotence: Endocrinologic impotence occurs due to an imbalance of sex hormones in the blood stream. Nearly 5% to 10% of men suffer from Endocrinologic impotence.
Psychogenic Impotence: Impotence at times can occur due to some sort of psychological complications. In such cases, there will be no physical factors accompanying erectile dysfunction. This state of impotence is called psychogenic impotence.
How to face Impotence?
Through exercises
One can face impotence. The exercises described below can be advantageous for the patients of Erectile Dysfunction.
Exercise 1: Lie down on your back on a bed, sofa or floor with your knees bent and slightly apart. Keep your feet flat on the surface. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles as quickly and as strongly as you can. Hold for as long as you can but not for more than 10 seconds. 10 seconds rest to recover. Perform three contractions while lying twice a day.
Exercise 2: Sit upright on a chair without resting against the back of the chair. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles by attempting to lift your testicles. Hold for as long as possible, but not for more than 10 seconds. 10 seconds rest to recover. Perform three contractions while sitting twice a day.
Exercise 3: Stand in front of a long mirror. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles and watch the gradual elevation of your testicles and the penile retraction. Hold for as long as you can but not for more than 10 seconds. 10 seconds rest to recover. Perform three contractions while standing twice a day.

There’s a term in Buddhist law called ‘The Monkey Mind’ it is used mostly in relation to meditation. The monkey mind refers to your brains constant
chatter and random jumping from place to place and thought to thought.
The intent behind meditation is to calm the monkey mind (not to actually kill it - Buddhists are against killing), and to connect with your higher self or the Universe. This can be hard to do with monkey always jumping about!
What’s all this have to do with my article? Well…. The monkey mind affects just about everybody, and it is usually devilishly hopping about all day long. Many people believe that they little if any control over their minds, this is not the case!
Meditation, exercise, affirmations, positive-thinking and a good diet all
affect your mind in a positive manner but, these are all slow methods. Wouldn’t’ it be great if you could just plug in your headphones and change the way you feel in minutes?
Good news folks, now you can. I have studied the mind and brain for many
years (decades actually) and I love to learn, only problem was I felt that my feelings and emotions controlled me rather than me having any control over them (ever felt that way?).
I tried herbs, meditation (I do recommend every meditate, it’s great stuff), positive thinking & self hypnosis. All of these things work to a degree but like most people I wanted a quick fix, “how can I get control of my brain right now?” I asked myself. (I really did ask that).
More study, more research and bingo - I hit the jackpot. I found something
called Binaural Beat Technology or frequency following response! The
principal behind this technology is relatively simple. You out on your
headphones (you must wear headphones to get the required effect) and listen to special sounds.
With your headphones on certain frequencies are played into apiece ear. The
reason for the headphones is because different frequencies are played into
each side. Why? Because what you are trying to do here is change your actual brain waves. By playing different frequencies into apiece fruit the brain automatically interprets the difference between the frequencies and adjusts your brain waves to that difference. i.e. If the left fruit is presented with a steady tone of 495Hz and the right fruit a steady tone of 505Hz, these two tones combine in the brain. The difference, 10Hz, is perceived by your brain.
This 10Hz is formed entirely by the brain. When using stereo headphones, the left and right sounds do not mix together until in your brain. The frequency difference, when perceived by brain this way, is called a binaural beat! Different frequencies cause different feelings or states. See below for the basic states;

Nicotine Gum
With Nicotine Gum, you can definitely feel like you are getting a good dose of what you need. It burns the mouth too, which some may say is unpleasant, but hey, thats what a cigarette feels like, isnt it?
Chew the gum as soon as you feel a craving. Once the gums is well worked in, roll it into a sausage with your tongue. Then work the sausage into a place between the your teeth and gums. My favourite place was the top above my front teeth, between the gums and the inside of my top lip.
Theres little point uninterrupted with the same piece of gum after about 15 -20 minutes, as the useful levels of nicotine will become exhausted.
The gum itself tends to come in standard or extra strength. Even thought I was a heavy smoker, I was a little place off by the potential side effects (e.g. becoming addicted to the gum itself!!). Therefore, I played innocuous and just used the standard version.
Just one word of advice - get ordinary mint gum too, or youll find you go through the nicotine stuff too quickly and feel really, really awful for hours afterwards. You have been warned!
Nicotine Inhaler
Now, Gum is all very well when you are in the car or in the office, but what about when you are in a wine bar? You cant have a piece of gum in your mouth when youre having a relaxing drink. For one, youll be stopping the gum do its work anyway if youre having lots of drink. Another reason is that your drinks will take god awful if youve still got you nicotine gum in your mouth.
I found the solution to this is the nicotine inhaler. Its basically a discreet (ish) inhaler that contains a specially formulated pad that will issue the chemical you crave so much every time you inhale on it.
Ill be honest here. The thing looks like a cross between a cheap hotel pen and a tampon applicator, and youll find yourself shielding the thing itself so no-one can see it whenever you take a good pull on it. However, the effects are startling. I actually got light-headed the first time I used it - the power of the kick is proportional to how hard you suck on it. Me, being a heavy smoker tended to really pull on a cigarette and so the gum (whilst passable) never really sated my angry appetite for a belt of nicotine. This device solved the problem. It even burned my throat like a real cigarette used to! (My god, I just re-read that last sentence. I am praising something as being great because it burned my throat. Just show how angry us smokers can be).
So, all you have to do now is make sure you dont get addicted to your nicotine alternatives!

When we talk about scents it could refer to a variety of applications. From the choice of perfume we wear, to lotions we use, candles we choose, oils, potpourris, etc. It is known that certain scents seem to effect people in different ways.

Many people have fond memories of a lilac bush in grandmas yard. The list goes on and on. Upper arm size and development is one of the most favourite of all muscle groups among bodybuilders and weight lifters of all levels. It is no small wonder that we are constantly looking for that “secret exercise” or a “secret routine” that will increase upper arm size dramatically. Start of the exercise like a military press. Press the barbell to arm’s length overhead. Then lower it behind your head to your ears.
Press the barbell back to arm’s length overhead and lower it to the front. Think of it as alternating between a front press and a behind the neck press. Inhale as you are pressing and exhale as you are lowering the weight. Front and back should be considered one repetition. A little tip for making this a more challenging is to push/raise the bar till a height where it is JUST high enough to clear your head and move it to the back. By not locking out the weight, you’re putting the stress on your shoulders and keeping it off your triceps and this provides continuous tension for your delts. Using the ab roller, start on the floor on all your hands and knees.
Hold the ab roller in your hands while in this position. Slowly roll the ab roller foreward, stretching your body into a straight position. Go down as far as you can without touching the floor with your body. Pause and pull yourself back to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of reps. Go slow and do not touch the ground. This exercise is essentially the same movement as a preacher curl, where arms are exercised in front of the body. But the main difference here is that your body is supported; the use of momentum or “cheating” is minimized.
This exercise will really shock the long head of the bicep, as well the brachialis. You’ll notice it allows for a very complete, full range of motion compared to other curl movements as well. To do this exercise, lie against an incline bench, with your arms hanging down in a horizontal line. Hold onto a barbell, and without moving your arms out of this horizontal plane, curl the weight up as high as you can. Like preacher curls, the bottom of the movement is where most force is placed upon the muscle, so don’t skimp on going down all the way if you want the maximum benefit.
